We'd hired this cabin near Whatipu Lodge for Monday night, 5 April 2010. We reached Whatipu at 5:00 pm – 6 hours and 40 minutes after leaving Karamatura. We had no rain during the day, but a fair amount during the night. Thankfully, though, the weather gods smiled on us: the rain had stopped by Tuesday morning.
